Cloud Guitar

A cinematic guitar instrument born from an album session between OPW and Tristan Rêverb, crafted for producers who want depth, texture, and instant inspiration.

This instrument combines beautifully recorded guitar plucks with a rich and resonant low end, an airy cloud pad built from tape and effects, and a shimmering night mode to add extra sparkle to your productions.

To enhance the character even further, the entire patch was processed through a vintage Fostex tape machine, giving you optional wobble, warmth, and perfectly imperfect analog saturation.

The interface is a piece of art, letting you move clouds, switch between night and day, and choose rain or sunshine to sculpt the emotional tone of your sound.

Perfect for ambient, cinematic scoring, lo-fi, electronic, experimental, and modern music production.

Compositions

Have you ever imagined, you could move clouds?

With our virtual instrument, you can!

In this quirky, intuitive and fun interface you can shape your sound by dragging the clouds or assigning them to your midi CC controls to record the performances in real time.

Command The Night to Fall

Move your CC1 control (or mod wheel) to rise the moon, make the stars shine and experience a shimmering pad pulling you into the vastness of the universe.

Can you make it rain?

Of course you can!

While we've recorded the Epiphone guitar through an analogue tape signal chain, you can actually make it rain and engage more of that Fostex R8 tape goodness.

The Story - A New Friendship

Oliver and Marius met in 2024 through a mutual friend when Marius, studying sound design, asked for an internship at Oliver’s studio in Mallorca. After an early visit with his partner and their enormous dog Bruno (or is it a bear?), they immediately clicked. Marius was far from a typical intern. He had owned a restaurant, a bakery, makes his own gin (éclat), and releases music as Tristan Rêverb. Sound design is simply another branch of his artistic life.

They worked together in the garden studio, and he soon joined the Smokestack Music collective. It became clear he loved building instruments. Oliver shared his idea for an artist driven sample platform, and together they sampled Marius' guitar and shaped some pads. Marius began scripting his first Kontakt library, later refined with help from their friend Filipe, which became Cloud Guitar.

Alongside this, they recorded an improvised LP called Calm Palms, due in 2026, using guitar, synths, Wurli, loops, and Marius’s tape machine, which also appears in Cloud Guitar. During all this Marius was also renovating a small cabin in Germany, documented on his YouTube channel Woody The Cabin, and already working on new libraries.

Their final night summed up the whole project. They were recording at The Shoe Factory, broke an ADAT connection, started late, and after finishing around 1 am Marius’s car would not start. Oliver had to drive over and jump start it so he could get home and catch the ferry with Bruno the bear dog.
